After the Contest

I hope everyone that does the Body For Life program reads this page because you don't see much written on what to do after the 12 weeks is up. I think for some it's quite obvious, but for most there's such a mad dash to the finish line that we often forget to look past it. As I've alluded to earlier, the 12 week point is not the finish line. It's merely a checkpoint on the way to the real finish line, which is a full and completely satisfying life where you give and receive everything you've set your mind to.

So with that being said, start figuring out what it is you really want to accomplish while you're spending time on this planet. And don't be afraid to think big on this one. If it can be done (and even if it hasn't been done), there's no logical reason that you can't achieve it other than the limitations you impose on yourself. Just look at what you've done so far. Did you ever think you'd be able to look as great as you do in just 12 weeks? Use the goal-setting principles in the program to map out a course for the next 12 weeks, 12 months, and ulitmately 12 years+. Then start figuring out the plan to get you there. Do this by breaking it down into obtainable chunks just like you did for your training program. Then set your mind to accomplishing them one day at a time.

In addition to setting new goals for yourself, you also now have the power and knowledge to help somebody else get to where you are. It is no longer a place that is merely dreamed about, it's a place that's obtainable to everyone who has a little perseverance, a willingness to learn and try, and a great mentor....YOU!!!! So find someone who you feel would benefit from a new body, mind, and spirit and help them unlock their true potential. And when you discover how much farther it winds up taking you, don't say I didn't warn you.
